I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out to invite you to partner with us for our upcoming 2025 Sutherlin Throwdown on July 19th and 20th. This will be the third year hosting the event, following two incredibly successful years that have brought excitement, community engagement, and a positive economic impact to the area.
Last year’s event hosted 34 BBQ Teams from all over the nation, 67 Cornhole Teams from the Pacific Northwest, 18 Breweries/Wineries from Oregon and Washington. We’re also proud to say we had 8,400 people in attendance, all having an incredible time and planning to come back in 2025.
The Sutherlin Throwdown has quickly become a major attraction, drawing BBQ teams, cornhole competitors, and attendees from all over the nation. It’s a fun filled weekend for families and visitors, and we’re thrilled to see the event becoming a favored destination on the summer calendar.
What makes the Throwdown especially meaningful is its purpose! Proceeds go toward our Made For Trades scholarship and mentoring program. Through this initiative direction, we invest in the future of our working force, offering scholarships and opportunities for individuals pursuing skilled trades and by introducing them to local industries. We aim to keep our talent right here in Douglas County, building a brighter, stronger future for all of us.
